The fitness world has seen many young sensations throughout history, but the 10-year-old Rory Van Ulft is one of the most impressive. Rory’s accomplishments at ten are what many would not have been able to accomplish at much older ages. Moreover, Rory is continuously getting stronger and better, partially due to her natural development, but also due to a carefully designed training plan. This has once again resulted in a humongous lift, as Rory locked out a 130-kilogram (286.6-pound) deadlift in training.

As seen in a recent Instagram post, Rory Van Ulft loaded 130 kilograms (286.6 pounds) on the barbell and approached it with nothing but a pair of lifting straps on. She then got comfortable with her sumo stance and started the grind to lockout. After a few seconds of struggle, the weights separated from the floor, and Rory successfully locked it out.

The caption of the post stated that the 130-kilogram (286.6-pound) deadlift came out to over 3.8x Rory’s bodyweight. In addition, this is Rory’s first time achieving such an impressive deadlift-to-bodyweight ratio, which marks a significant improvement.

Rory Van Ulft has become known for her impressive deadlifts, but the reason she does them is to improve her Olympic Weightlifting abilities. It is her primary sport and one that she has been doing ever since she was six years old. Furthermore, Rory is an amazing weightlifter, which she proved recently by becoming the youngest person to Clean & Jerk 2x their bodyweight. She did so by lifting 66 kilograms (145.5 pounds) at the 2023 Variety Village Open.

Rory had to sacrifice a lot to achieve this Clean & Jerk achievement, as she displayed her calloused hands on Instagram. This proved how dedicated she is to growing into one of the greatest athletes ever.

Another impressive achievement that Rory Van Ulft has to her name is being the youngest athlete to become a 2x United States Youth Weightlifting National Champion when she was just nine years old.

On the other hand, Rory Van Ulft is also an incredible gymnast as well, as she has been dedicating a lot of time to this sport as well. However, Olympic Weightlifting still remains the sport in which she is the greatest.
