Ramon Rocha Queiroz will aim to win his first Arnold Classic title in under four weeks. Taking to Instagram, Queiroz issued one of the best physique updates of his career, showing off better condition than in the weeks leading up to the 2022 Mr. Olympia contest.

In 2021, Queiroz’s combination of size, aesthetics, and balance caught the eyes of judges in the IFBB Pro League. At the Europa Pro Championships, he earned silver before claiming first at the Musclecontest Brazil Pro. He used that momentum to prepare for the sport’s most celebrated event – Mr. Olympia. In his Olympia debut, Queiroz delivered a fifth-place finish, a promising sign of what was on the horizon.

Last year, Queiroz earned runner-up to Terrence Ruffin at the 2022 Arnold Classic. Months later, the bodybuilding calendar ended with the Mr. Olympia competition. Heading into the event, some veterans thought Ramon had the tools to claim gold.

‘Ramon Dino’ faced adversity before getting the chance to compete. During weigh-ins for Classic Physique, Ramon was four pounds over his height/weight limit. The setback jeopardized his spot on the Las Vegas stage, but he didn’t let the mishap hold him back from a solid performance.

At his sophomore Olympia appearance, Queiroz finished runner-up to four-time Classic Physique Olympia Chris Bumstead. Instead of focusing on improvements for the next Olympia contest, he’s returning to Columbus, Ohio, to take home the second-highest honor in the sport.

Less than one month before the next Arnold, Ramon surprised fans with an impressive physique update, where he showed off a striated chest, vascularity, and improved conditioning from Olympia.

At the nearing Arnold Classic, Ramon will face Germany’s Urs Kalecinski, who continues to wow fans at every contest. A few weeks ago, Kalecinski said his ‘biggest mission’ at the AC will be defeating Queiroz in a one-on-one comparison. ‘The Miracle Bear’ specified that he’s not worried about size this year and will focus on bringing added muscle tissue to his back/arms.

As for Chris Bumstead, he decided to forego the Arnold Classic in favor of using the time for rest and recovery. Despite fan excitement, ‘C-Bum’ believes having a full off-season is an overwhelming advantage going into each title defense. Terrence Ruffin also opted to take more time off while Breon Ansley left the division in pursuit of 212 greatness.

With the show kicking off next month, veterans such as Samir Bannout backed Queiroz to come out on top. He specified that Urs will likely struggle with the size and flow of Ramon’s physique. Should Queiroz win the upcoming Arnold Classic, he’ll enter his next Olympia contest with more momentum than he has now.
