‘The Texas Oak’ is currently gearing up for a comeback at the Texas Pro 2023 after facing the heartbreak of missing out on Mr. Olympia 2022 due to illness. Classic Physique contender, Logan Franklin, started his pro career in Men’s Physique. From 2017 to 2018, he competed in the Men’s Physique category, securing top ten placements twice and falling below the top ten once in his Olympia appearances. Winning multiple titles and lifting countless trophies, Franklin made his decision to switch to Classic Physique in 2019.

However, he was taken by surprise at the Mr. Olympia 2020 in the Classic Physique category. Logan Franklin finished just below the top five, securing the seventh position. In order to make things better, he hired IFBB Pro Milos ‘The Mind’ Sarcev to coach him towards an even better Mr. Olympia placing.

Unfortunately, before he could participate in the 2022 Classic Physique Olympia, he got sick and had to change his plans for competing. Giving a health update for his fans via an Instagram video, he disclosed:

“Don’t worry guys, I’m going to make sure that I’m healthy. I made the decision to not continue pressing because I was getting really sick yesterday and my body was starting to get a little bit unresponsive.”

Recently, Franklin revealed that he will be there to win at the Texas Pro. He stated:

“I plan on winning the Texas Pro…I lost that show by one point back in 2021 so it would be a good show to go back there and get some redemption. The Olympia will be 11 weeks after the Texas Pro, and then I’ll be doing the Hawaii Pro Nov. 20, two weeks after the Mr. Olympia. I can just prep for those three shows and knock them out bam bam.”

If everything goes as planned, and Franklin is able to qualify, his next Mr. Olympia appearance would be later this year.

Logan Franklin gives a captivating Physique Update

In his recent post uploaded on Instagram a short while ago, Logan Franklin dropped a physique update before his 2023 Texas Pro appearance. The video posted by Franklin made it clear that he is all set for the show and in exceptional condition. Carrying a ripped and dry look even two weeks before the show, Logan has his eyes set on the Texas Pro trophy before he steps onto the prestigious Mr. Olympia stage.

However, Franklin has disclosed that this time around, he will be embarking on his preparation solo, without the guidance of a coach. In a YouTube video earlier this year, Logan openly shared that he has never stepped onto the stage with a fully dry and defined physique. While he said that he did peak very close to his potential under the guidance of Sarcev at the Arnold Classic 2021, he believes he can peak even better on his own, presenting an even shredded look.

“I am experienced enough and capable so I’m ready for the challenge…What I really needed a coach for was all the protocol stuff and getting my body to peak and peaking on show day but unfortunately, I have to say that I still truly feel like I’ve never been peaked with any coach I worked with,” admitted Franklin.

After staying sidelined for a while now, Logan Franklin will step on the stage with the intention of lifting the Texas Pro trophy. After withdrawing from the 2022 Olympia, Logan revealed in an Instagram post that he plans to participate in three major shows this year.
