Social media sensation Liver King, real name Bryan Johnson, gained immense popularity over the last two years for his monstrous physique. In a recent Instagram post, Johnson took the extra step to prove that his abs were natural and that he did not get any implants.
Liver King first made headlines for consuming raw cuts of meat and organs. He advocates a healthy way of living based on the nine ancestral tenets, which promote munching on raw bull testicles, the brain, the liver, and other parts. He quickly amassed over 1.7 million followers on the photo-sharing platform after several videos of him eating raw meat went viral.
Considering how jacked the 45-year-old looks, there was speculation about his natty status. Johnson claimed on numerous occasions that he was not on the juice and credited his insane build to his way of living.
While many believed in his philosophy of following an ancestral lifestyle, others like UFC color commentator Joe Rogan were not convinced. Rogan made no hesitations in calling out King’s online character as a gimmick and argued against his claims of being natty, saying, Johnson had an a** full of steroids.
Everything appeared to be going well for Johnson until Nov. 28, when the house of cards came falling down on him. PED expert Derek of MPMD shared screenshots from a leaked email he received that exposed Liver King’s lie of being natty. The snaps displayed King’s alleged steroid cycles and provided insight into his blood work.
Besides the doubts over his being natty, there were concerns about his ab muscle development. Many believed King may have gotten some form of cosmetic work done on his abs, including possibly getting implants to make his core look more impressive.
Liver King goes out of his way to prove he did not get ab implants
In a recent video posted on his Instagram, Liver King made his way to the clinic of Dr. Daniel Barrett to dismiss the rumor that the got ab implants.
“I have an obligation to my tribe (you)… to take massive goddam action and do whatever it takes to earn back your trust. I get it… If Liver King lied about PEDs, how can I expect Primals to trust my word about ab implants? This is precisely why I visited @drdanielbarrett… to put these rumors to rest once and for all. Drop anything else you want to see in the comments… and let’s get it done.”
“I’m here at the foremost subject matter expert when it comes to ab implants,” said Liver King. “We’re here seeing Dr. Barrett so that we can reveal the truth.”
Dr. Barrett: “It’s feeling pretty soft. If you are going to do an implant, you got to stick it somewhere. So, I’m looking around and I don’t see any scars that you have on your abdomen. Softness, there’s strong muscles, and a good liver over here.
“See how that moves, how it digs right in there, there’s no way it would happen if those were implants. See the skin moving on top of it. If these were ab implants, both sides would look the same. You can see how the shape changes.”

Vigorous Steve, the ex-coach of Liver King, weighed in on the recent developments earlier this month. He admitted to leaking the emails with Derek after he noticed multiple red flags. He was not sold on King’s apology and claimed Johnson was “patching one lie with another.”
Derek expressed a similar sentiment last week when he stated the Liver King scandal was not over. According to Derek, King was not sincere in his confession, and he believes there might be more stuff out there.
It remains to be seen whether ‘primals’ accept Liver King’s apology and stick with him after the deceptive antics. He promised to get off the juice and become a natty, but it will likely take some time before he regains the trust.
