Larry Wheels recently got diagnosed with rhabdomyolysis, which is a condition often caused by overtraining and is known to be fatal in some cases. However, he has seemingly already recovered, as he is back in the gym performing some mind-blowing feats of strength. In the recent case, Larry went back to one of his most iconic lifts — the bench press. During his training session, Larry loaded a 495-pound (224.5-kilogram) bench press and performed ten repetitions with the massive weight.

Larry Wheels is no longer focusing on strength training since he plans to venture into bodybuilding, but he still loves to perform massive lifts at least once a month. As he says, there is no harm in these feats of strength, and they also have the potential to improve his physique. So, when Bradley Martin and Airrack came by to film a YouTube video with Larry, he decided to put on a show with a 495-pound (224.5-kilogram) bench press for ten reps.

To complete the humongous 495-pound (224.5-kilogram) 10-rep bench press set, Larry Wheels only used a pair of elbow wraps.

Regarding his bodybuilding journey, Larry Wheels is preparing for his bodybuilding debut in the Classic division. He considers this to be a realistic goal for him, since he already has the bodyweight needed for this division, and all he has to do is work on improving his physique. In addition, Larry’s coach told him that he could be competitive in the Classic division without using any PEDs except TRT.

This factor is very important to Larry Wheels since he has stopped using steroids and PEDs for the sake of his health. This resulted in numerous positive changes, as he now looks younger, feels better, and, most importantly, has improved his health. However, he has to be on TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy) since his body’s production of testosterone has lowered due to years of using steroids.

In the hopes of making his Classic debut as successful as possible, Larry Wheels sought posing advice from William Bonac, which will prove invaluable when it’s time to hit the stage. Larry has also recently revealed that Classic bodybuilding feels like a form of art to him, as well as his reasons for not competing in the Men’s Open division.

However, despite pursuing his bodybuilding goals, Larry Wheels is still no stranger to massive lifts in the gym, especially when he is training with someone. So, he recently shared a 500-pound (226.8-kilogram) paused bench press for reps after getting motivation from C.T. Fletcher. He also worked out with Stefi Cohen and impressed with a monstrous 405-pound (183.7-kilogram) bench press set.

Although Larry Wheels’ recent problems with rhabdomyolysis could have caused a lot of harm, including kidney failure, it seems that he is doing quite well now. Moreover, judging from his 495-pound (224.5-kilogram) 10-rep bench press set, it could be argued that Larry is currently in one of the greatest shapes of his life. However, Larry will continue pursuing even heavier lifts and building an even better physique for a long time to come.
