Jordan Mica is a 10-year-old powerlifter who has taken the powerlifting community by storm with his exceptional strength and potential. He has emerged as one of the greatest prospects in the sport, setting new records and winning several competitions. In a recent powerlifting competition, Jordan set three new USAPL State Records at the 2023 USAPL Third Street Barbell Open, which took place on February 4-5, in Sacramento, California. One of those was his impressive raw squat personal record (PR) of 77.5 kilograms (170.9 pounds), which represents over 1.5 times his bodyweight.

Jordan Mica competed in the raw division, which meant that he was only allowed to use a lifting belt, knee sleeves, and wrist wraps. Despite the restrictions, Jordan managed to set Youth 2 (10-12 Years Old) USAPL California State Records in the squat, deadlift, and total events. In addition, Jordan equaled the bench press record. Seeing that the State Record for the bench press was already in Jordan’s possession from before, he now holds all four records in his division.

Jordan Mica’s Full Performance

Jordan Mica’s exact bodyweight was 51.3 kilograms (113.1 pounds), meaning he competed in the 52-kilogram weight class. In addition, he was the only competitor in this division. So, Jordan decided to shoot for the moon, and broke almost every State Record available. He almost had a perfect showing as well, having missed only one of his nine attempts throughout the entire competition.

  • 62.5 kilograms (137.8 pounds)
  • 70 kilograms (154.3 pounds)
  • 77.5 kilograms (170.9 pounds) — Youth 2 California State Record & New Competition PR

Seeing that Jordan Mica is extremely young, his training process can be very delicate. However, his parents are very considerate and are making this “a life-long strength journey”. So, Jordan takes a few months off each year and then begins training again from scratch without any hurry. In addition, his training program is adjusted to his needs and capabilities.

Jordan Mica has once again proven why he is the number one ranked USAPL Youth Powerlifter and just how much potential he has. Having only spent one decade in this world, he has already amassed a great number of achievements. So, it seems inevitable for him to become one of the most elite powerlifters in the world as the years go by.
