UFC color commentator and popular podcaster Joe Rogan gets back on the carnivore diet for one full month but this time, there is a slight twist. Carnivore diet, as the name suggests, is an elimination diet that requires the follower to consume only meat and animal products like dairy and eggs for health benefits associated with them. Rogan had popularized the carnivore diet in January of 2020 and 2021 and he has embarked on the same journey once again.

January marks the world carnivore month. A significant number of people around the world resort to meat and animal-based products to bring attention to their lifestyle and diet. Apart from this, world carnivore month is also about changing the perception of meat consumption. In a recent Instagram post, Joe Rogan revealed that he will add fruits to his carnivore diet in 2022.

“January is world carnivore month. This time I’m adding fruit to this diet. Just meat and fruit for the whole month,” Joe Rogan wrote in the caption to his post.

Joe Rogan is a dedicated martial artist and one of the biggest podcasters in the USA and around the world. He is known for his unfiltered opinions and tendency to explore things without preconceived notions. The Fear Factor host famously stays away from store-bought meat and hunts his food. Rogan listed the pros and cons of the carnivore diet after his first go at it in 2020. Let’s take a look at it.

Joe Rogan highlights the pros and cons of the carnivore diet

Joe Rogan revealed that he lost 12lbs as a result of the carnivore diet in 2020. According to him, the carnivore diet helped him maintain higher energy levels throughout the day. However, severe diarrhea is the most concerning side effect of it. The 54-year-old highlighted the pros and cons of the carnivore diet in a lengthy Instagram post during his first carnivore month in 2020.

Carnivore diet update; the good and the bad. Let’s start with the bad. There’s really only one “bad” thing, and that thing is diarrhea.

“Now, I’m well aware of the placebo effect and I’m constantly self-analyzing every perceived reaction I’m having to eating only meat for almost 2 weeks straight. But one thing I’m fairly sure of is that my energy levels are higher and steadier throughout the day. This seems undeniable.

I don’t know if it’s a temporary effect and if maybe it’s just the result of eating really disciplined, but either way, it seems to be real.” Joe Rogan wrote in the caption to his post.

Joe Rogan is one of the active social media users. It will be interesting to follow how the modifications help eliminate the carnivore diet’s side effects.
