Jessica Buettner is arguably one of the most impressive powerlifters in the sport and competes in the 76 kg weight class. Jessica continuously shows what it takes to become an elite-level athlete through her training videos. She is currently in her off-season and has gained some weight. This resulted in her squatting 217.5 kg (479.5 lbs), which is her new Personal Best.

Her current bodyweight is 80.7 kg (178 lbs), which would place her in the 84 kg weight class at an IPF sanctioned meet. Jessica will lose the excess pounds for her next competition, but her 217.5 kg (479.5 lbs) squat proves she could find success either way. Furthermore, this is Unofficially the IPF’s Third-Heaviest Squat in the 84 kg weight class. Jessica also surpassed her previous PR by 2.5 kg (5.5 lbs). She only used a lifting belt and knee sleeves to aid her in the lift.

You can watch the squat here:

“PR from yesterday!!! I’m extremely happy with 217.5kgs since last time I squatted my old PR of 215kgs, I weighed over 193lbs (now I’m 178 lbs). I’m also PUMPED because it’s a lot closer to my goal of a 500lb squat!”
