Legendary bodybuilder Jay Cutler cemented his place in the history books as one of the most decorated competitors of the Men’s Open division. He carried his passion for fitness even after hanging up his posing trunks years ago. In a recent video uploaded on YouTube, Cutler teased his planned appearance at the 2023 Masters Olympia and revealed the ultimate workout tip that will help make a ‘huge difference.’

Jay Cutler reached the highest heights of the Men’s Open division with his massive muscle mass, wide chest, and freakish quads in the 2000s. He presented a major threat to fellow legend Ronnie Coleman but kept falling short of the eight-time champion, taking runner-up to him four times. Cutler finally secured the coveted Sandow trophy by exacting revenge on Coleman at the 2006 Mr. Olympia.

Cutler went on to win three more editions and became the third competitor to reclaim the title after dropping it in the history of the show. He also won three Arnold Classic titles in his prime and took to the sidelines after a final outing at the 2013 Mr. Olympia.

Considering the contemporary landscape of the Open class, Cutler sees two men stand out from the pack; 2023 Arnold Classic winner Samson Dauda and former 212 Olympia champion and Open runner-up Derek Lunsford. He expects the two to battle it out with 2022 Mr. Olympia Hadi Choopan. As for himself, he would keep a close eye on rising sensation Andrew Jacked in case he shocks the world with a victory.

Cutler wrapped up the ‘Fit for 50’ body transformation challenge with some great improvements. He left the fans stunned with a ripped physique update along with a chest training routine seven weeks out from his 50th birthday. He followed up by detailing the benefits of using the standard pull-up to build a wide and thick back.

The 50-year-old revealed he amped up his cardio training to 90 minutes every day to get ready for the challenge. He admitted struggling with not taking any steroids besides TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) and reported having a heavy appetite even without anabolic substances.

Jay Cutler offered the stiff-legged dumbbell deadlift as an effective movement that helped him develop his insane hamstrings. Then, he emphasized the lack of athletes participating in bodybuilding shows due to low financial rewards.

Cutler lauded Dauda for the incredible enhancements he made to his package over the last few years. After getting a sneak peek at the package Dauda is preparing for the 2023 Mr. Olympia, he’s confident Dauda could ‘scare some people.’

Jay Cutler Will Surprise Fans at Masters Olympia Appearance

In a recent YouTube video, Jay Cutler teased his upcoming appearance at the 2023 Masters Olympia.

“I don’t know if this is going to stop,” said Cutler. “That’s the question, I’m not sure once I get through. I said my goal was not met. I do have the Master’s Olympia appearance coming up so that’s going to be the end of August and then in the beginning of September at a Young LA event. I’m pretty much there. I’m at the goal now. I’ve kind of shown a little bit of the physique and I will show the physique. I’m not guest posing. I’m going to surprise you guys when I head to Romania.”

Cutler Reveals Ultimate Workout Tip for a ‘Huge Difference’

Cutler encouraged his fans to increase their cardio or overall training to 1 hour for the best results.

“One thing I can tell all you guys out there. One hour in the morning makes a huge difference from 30 or 40 minutes. If I can suggest anything to people, if you just bump that cardio from an extra 30, 20, 15 minutes, some people do 30 or 45 minutes, that extra time to take one hour of workout. That could be weight training too, people train fasted, I’m not against that. It makes a huge difference.”

Although Jay Cutler was renowned for using 12 reps, he revealed he would instead focus on the quality of contraction over counting reps. He showed off his jacked physique in a shoulder workout update along with the diet he utilized to get in shape for the challenge.

While his upcoming appearance at the Masters Olympia is not a guest-posing one, fans will still be excited to see what Cutler has in store for them.
