Bodybuilder Hunter Labrada has been working hard in the off-season to improve his physique after missing the mark at the 2022 Mr. Olympia. In an Instagram post, Labrada weighed 283 pounds fasted and shared the new diet he’s implemented for guest posing appearances at the 2023 Emerald Cup and Pittsburgh Pro.
Being the son of IFBB Hall of Famer Lee Labrada, Hunter entered the IFBB Pro League with lofty expectations atop his shoulders. He rose to prominence with impressive muscle mass, shape, and posing abilities in the Men’s Open division. His commanding victory at the 2020 Tampa Pro secured him an invite to the Mr. Olympia competition, where he placed eighth in his debut.
He kicked off the next season by scoring gold at the 2021 Chicago Pro. For his second Olympia appearance, Labrada cracked the top five in fourth place. He entered the 2022 Mr. Olympia but failed to deliver on his ambitions of becoming champion. He presented a flat look on stage and dropped down to seventh.
Labrada expressed disappointment regarding his performance last December. He made changes to his diet and adjusted his training in the gym. He identified a need to trim down his waistline and began using more whole foods and vacuum poses in the off-season to accomplish that goal.
Hunter left the fans in awe of his impressive package with an off-season physique update two months ago. He weighed 280 pounds and laid out an updated diet and training regimen. His biggest goal was to figure out what went wrong with his peak.
The 30-year-old regularly educates his fans on a range of topics related to bodybuilding. Hunter talked about the benefits of using A/B split variations to push through any workout plateaus. Additionally, he unveiled a full day of eating along with the supplements he consumes in the 2023 off-season. He then stressed the importance of staying consistent with weighing food raw or cooked. In a similar vein, Hunter Labrada discussed spacing meals out properly last month.
