Heather Connor has been one of the most consistent American powerlifters over the past decade or so, constantly bringing new medals back to her home country. However, she has also revolutionized the deadlifts in the 47-kilogram weight class, having demolished the World Record multiple times. Heather is still not done with putting up never-before-seen lifts, as she continues claiming achievements in the gym. Most recently, Heather locked out a 200-kilogram (440.9-pound) deadlift for two repetitions, which marked a new personal record.
As seen in Heather Connor’s Instagram post, she put on some music, locked her lifting belt in, positioned herself in a sumo stance, and grabbed the barbell with a mixed grip. Both of her repetitions required tremendous effort and did not come without struggle. However, she pushed through and locked out both reps, securing an all-time high for her.
Heather Connor also stated that her bodyweight at the time of the lift came out to 45.5 kilograms (100 pounds). So, Heather’s recent two-rep deadlift PR came out to 4.4x her bodyweight.
Heather Connor also revealed that she plans to take part in an undisclosed competition, for which she has high expectations. The main one being to set a new All-Time Deadlift World Record. This record currently stands at 200 kilograms (440.9 pounds), which she set at the 2023 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships. So, seeing how she just completed two reps with the exact weight in training, Heather is on course to improve the record by a few pounds.
Heather Connor is most known for two IPF World Championships titles, which she won in 2017 and 2019. She also attempted to claim her two titles during the past two years, but fell just short, claiming silver in 2022, and bronze in 2023.
Overall, Heather Connor has made appearances in 25 sanctioned powerlifting competitions since starting to compete in 2014. Of those, 16 had the best possible outcome for Heather as she walked away victorious.

No one in Heather’s weight class, apart from her, has managed to successfully lock out even one repetition with that much weight. So, it shows how far ahead of her rivals Heather actually is.
