Zane credits consistent pumps at the gym for enhanced muscle growth and acknowledges that the process of hypertrophy takes time.

“Because when you look into the mirror you are seeing the future of your body. That is the line your body is taking because you pump to that look you are acquiring over time. You pump up, it goes down, a little bit stays. You pump up next time, a little more stays. And gradually that accumulates over time and that creates your look.”

Along with his exercise methods, Frank Zane also gives dietary advice and reflected on the low-carb nutrition plan he used while competing. In addition, he detailed a protein shake that still provides all the necessary nutrients needed for a meal. Above all else, Zane stresses the importance of balance to achieve the perfect physique.
