The 2022 WRPF Ghost Clash was definitely a treat for powerlifting fans all around the world. The competition was held on February 13th, 2022, in Miami, Florida. A few athletes set new All-Time World Records, including Daniel Misencik, who squatted 432.5 kg (953.5 lbs) and claimed the All-Time World Record Squat With Wraps in the 110 kg category.

All three of Daniel’s squat attempts were successful. His opener was 395 kg (870.8 lbs), which was upped to 417.5 kg (920.4 lbs). His last attempt would also end up being successful, and thus became a new World Record. Daniel struggled quite a bit during his lift, but he proved his toughness, and after a long battle, locked it out.

“I set a world record. My first. Maybe one day I’ll be able to put into words what that means to me. Today is not that day. Today I’m getting absolutely hammered in South Beach. And by hammered, I mean like 4 beers and in bed by 7 pm.”

The previous squat record holder in the 110 kg category was Phillip Herndon, as he squatted 430.9 kg (950 lbs) at the 2021 RPS NJ and North American Championships.
