Patrick Dale, born in Bristol, England, in 1968, is a seasoned fitness expert with a lifelong passion for sports and fitness. He studied physical education in college and began his career as a gym instructor and aerobics class teacher before moving into facility management and personal training.
Patrick took a five-year break from the health and fitness industry to join the Royal Marine Commandos, one of the world’s most elite fighting forces. His service included active duty in various parts of the world, including Northern Ireland.
After leaving the Marines, Patrick resumed his health and fitness career, teaching others how to become personal trainers and gym instructors. As a versatile sportsman, he has competed in numerous activities, including athletics, rugby, rock climbing, weightlifting, bodybuilding, triathlon, martial arts, trampolining, and gymnastics.
Patrick’s main areas of interest include strength and conditioning for improved sports performance, nutrition, fitness psychology, weight management, and family health and fitness. He is passionate about promoting a healthy lifestyle for people of all ages to prevent chronic diseases associated with poor nutrition and inactivity.
When not training for powerlifting competitions, writing health and fitness articles for international magazines, lecturing, or authoring books, Patrick enjoys reading fiction, photography, watching movies, cooking, walking his three Great Danes, and enjoying the sunny climate of Cyprus.
Patrick is also the author of several books, including No Gym? No Problem!: The DIY Fitness Bible, Military Fitness, and Live Long, Live Strong: Keep Healthy and Fit For Life.
