Open Bodybuilding star Nick Walker has never been more determined to take home the Mr. Olympia title. The event takes place in less than three months and competitors are making the most of their preparations. In a recent YouTube video, Walker shared a full day of eating, which consisted of six meals.

Having claimed gold at two consecutive shows in his rookie season (2021 New York Pro & Arnold Classic), Walker crashed the top of the Men’s Open with freakish proportions and tree trunk legs. He took on his first Mr. Olympia show with momentum in 2021, turning in a fifth-place debut.

“The Mutant,’ known for his resourcefulness inside the gym, decided to focus on bringing up his physique in 2022. He made improvements to his midsection in the off-season and proved himself on the Mr. Olympia stage last December. Walker finished third behind Derek Lunsford and Hadi Choopan. Making a quick turnaround, Walker came up short at the 2023 Arnold Classic against Samson Dauda.

While the loss has been difficult for Walker to accept, he insists he’ll come back stronger. In multiple interviews and podcast appearances, Walker has counted out Choopan as the number one threat to his dream. He believes the finals will come down to a showdown between himself and Lunsford. With just a few months before they face each other, Walker revealed the six-meal diet he’s using to kick off contest prep.

Nick Walker Shows Off 6-Meal Diet Fueling His 2023 Mr. Olympia Efforts

  • MegaFit Steak
  • Bananas
  • Sushi rice
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Pink salt
  • Blueberry muffin from Dunkin Donuts

Meal 2 – Pre-workout

  • MegaFit chicken
  • Jasmine rice
  • Olive Oil (out of avocado)
  • Mustard

  • Ground Cinnamon
  • 100 grams of pineapple
  • 2 capsules of Glyco HD

  • 1 capsule of HCL HD

“This is a good high day. You know, the body is being very responsive, which is good. Especially after going out to dinner last night and getting a really nice cheat meal for my birthday with Maria. We did eat a good amount of food, so the fact that I dropped two pounds you know made me very happy, made Matt very happy. That’s why we’re going with a high day today for legs.”

“It’s important we keep the food relatively higher on leg day since that’s is a keen body part that I would like to continue to bring up even as we get more deeper into prep. Then eventually just try to maintain it, which we’re doing.”

“I’ve even put on a little more size before it gets to that point where you’re just not putting on size anymore. Then, I’ll be happy,” Nick Walker said.

With contest preps officially underway, there are tons of questions going into this year’s Mr. Olympia. Fans are curious if the former two-time champion, Mamdouh ‘Big Ramy’ Elssbiay could follow in Jay Cutler’s footsteps and win back his Mr. Olympia title.

Aside from his diet, Nick Walker recently joined Flex Lewis and Derek Lunsford to discuss 2023 Mr. Olympia. According to Walker, if Lunsford slips even a little bit, he’ll surpass him on the scorecards. Overall, Walker believes he matches up well with Lunsford in terms of sheer muscularity but says he falls short when shape is being considered.

As for Lunsford, he doesn’t see Walker placing as high. He recently suggested that Samson Dauda and Walker would be fighting for third and fourth place. Veterans of the sport have backed Lunsford as the favorite, such as Ronnie Coleman and Samir Bannout.

Walker has never dropped placings at Mr. Olympia, so fans are excited to see if he can continue the streak. Given his latest six-meal diet, Walker hopes to bring his biggest and best yet in three months.
