Event Details

Viking Press

Official Strongman Games have not yet revealed the weight of the Viking Press. However, we know that the athletes will perform as many reps as possible in the time span of 60 seconds. The athletes will press this implement from the shoulder rack position to overhead.

Farmer’s Walk

The athletes will firstly pick up a pair of Farmer’s Walk implements and carry them for two distances of 50 feet / 15.25 meters. Upon completing this, they will then pick up another heavier pair of these implements and carry them for another 50 feet / 15.25 meters. So, they will have a time cap of 60 seconds to cover 150 feet / 45.75 meters as fast as possible.

Axle Deadlift

For the third event of the 2022 Official Strongman Games, the athletes will have to deadlift as many reps as possible in 60 seconds. Although the height of the bar will be standard, they will use the Axle barbell and tires instead of weight plates.

Sandbag To Shoulder

Once again the time limit will be 60 seconds. The athletes will have to pick up five increasingly heavy sandbags and display control upon placing them on their shoulders.

Car Walk — Finals

For the first time, the 2022 Official Strongman Games will consist of three Finals events. The first one of those will be the Car Walk. Athletes will pick up a car of currently unknown weight and carry it for 50 feet / 15.25 meters. They will attempt to do so in the fastest manner possible, while the time cap will be 60 seconds.

Circus Dumbbell

The 2022 Official Strongman Games will test the overhead pressing strength one more time as the competition is closing. They will do this through the Circus Dumbbell, which is basically bigger than usual in every aspect. Four increasingly heavier dumbbells will face the competitors, who will then attempt to lift all of them with one hand in the shortest time possible.

Atlas Stones

A classic finish to a classic competition, as Atlas Stones are set to be the final event of the 2022 Official Strongman Games. The weight has not yet been determined, but six progressively heavier atlas stones could determine the winner in the final seconds.
