Sherine Marcelle is quickly becoming the greatest squat powerlifter in the 90-kilogram weight class. Even though Sherine already had a reputation for her extraordinary squat skills, having unofficially broken the World Record, she now appears to be very close to performing multiple reps with the same weight. With her recent strength feat, Sherine squatted 635 pounds (288 kilograms) for a two-rep personal record.
Sherine Marcelle’s 635-pound (288-kilogram) was not raw by powerlifting standards, as she uses knee wraps to aid her in the lift. She also used a lifting belt, but it is allowed in the raw division.
Crystal Tate holds the current U90KG All-Time Squat W/Wraps World Record of 640 pounds (290.3 kilograms), which she set at the 2017 XPC Finals. So, Sherine Marcelle is just 5 pounds (2.3 kilograms) shy of squatting the WR for multiple reps.

“Lifetime Rep PR . Happy to walk out of this without any injuries and more importantly with improvements . Bodyweight is in the 190s and have been staying there.”
Sherine Marcelle almost equally competes in the Raw division as the Wraps division, so it is always a question in which division she will compete in. She has taken part in 12 sanctioned competitions since she started professionally competing in 2016. Of those 12, Sherine claimed a gold medal in nine competitions.
Bench Press (Raw): 127.5 kg (280 lbs) — (2021 USPA New York State Championships)
Deadlift (Raw): 227.5 kg (501.6 lbs) — (2021 USPA New York State Championships)
Total (Raw w/wraps): 620 kg (1366.9 lbs) — (2022 WRPF Ghost Clash)
Sherine Marcelle has had many memorable moments throughout her career, but her greatest lift came just two weeks ago. She loaded 655 pounds (297.1 kilograms) on the bar and unofficially broke the All-Time Squat W/Wraps WR in the 90-kilogram weight class. However, in that post, Sherine explained that she will not attempt to break the record officially this year. Nonetheless, it is obvious that she is continuing training for it.
