Sherine Marcelle’s squat prowess makes her one of the best in the world, as she is on the verge of breaking the world record. Despite this, she is a complete powerlifter and is working on improving in every event equally. Sherine has been claiming numerous PRs in the past few weeks, but her newest one tastes the sweetest. On May 24, Sherine shared her amazing accomplishment, which was an all-time raw deadlift PR of 505 pounds (229 kilograms).
Sherine Marcelle’s new PR was completely raw, as she did not even use a lifting belt. Her go-to deadlifting style combines a sumo stance and a mixed grip. Despite it being her new PR, Sherine also decided to attempt another repetition, but it obviously was not possible. Her exact bodyweight at the time of the lift was not specified, but she usually competes in the 90-kilogram weight class.
Quads and body are sore and shot but that’s ok. I won’t make this lengthy, but I’ll be back with more in the tank and although I’m not satisfied, I’m happy to have finally surpassed 500lbs after years of battling out 500-501.”
