Jessica Buettner has set some massive goals for this year, and she is training hard to achieve them. Although Jessica is an outstanding and complete powerlifter, she is mostly known for her gravity-defying deadlifts. She regularly posts impressive sets from training, but her recent performance is one of the greatest in her career. On April 26, Jessica Buettner shared a gigantic 245 kg (541 lbs) deadlift two rep PR on her Instagram.

Having only used a lifting belt, Jessica Buettner’s new PR is considered raw by powerlifting standards. She deadlifts with a conventional stance and uses a mixed grip. Jessica is also dealing with Type 1 Diabetes, which affected her during the recent training session. However, that did not stop her, but made her lift even more impressive. Jessica did not specify her bodyweight at the time of the lift, but she usually competes in the 76 kg weight class.

You can watch the lift here:

Deadlifts from yesterday!! I am happy I was able to move this because my blood sugars weren’t too good. 222.5kgs for 3 sets of 4 moved fast once they were back to normal. Less than 3 weeks out from Canadian nationals and 7 weeks out from IPF worlds

Then she will look forward to the 2022 IPF World Championships, which will take place from June 6-12, 2022, in Sun City, South Africa.

Jessica Buettner will go to both of these competitions as a multiple-time champion, and will try to add more wins to her resume. She has won the Canadian Nationals five times already, and also claimed three victories in the IPF World Championships.
