Terrence Ruffin’s bodybuilding diet heading into the 2022 Arnold Classic

Meal 1 – Breakfast

Terrence Ruffin typically started his day with cream of rice mixed with whey protein and almond butter. Cream of rice is a type cereal made from finely ground white rice. It is usually incorporated I recipes that need thickening. However, it serves as a breakfast food when mixed with water or milk.

Ruffin used water to mix the ingredients for the breakfast.

Overall, the breakfast consisted of:

  • Whey protein – 50 grams
  • Cream of rice – 50 grams
  • Almond butter – 10 grams

In addition to this, he took Steel ADALoad. It is a nutrient partitioning supplement. According to the description on the company’s website, the Supplement helps

“by more efficiently shuttling carbohydrates and nutrients faster into your muscles you will get better pumps, muscle endurance and expedited recovery times.”

At the time of shooting the video, Terrence Ruffin was not training cardio. Therefore he replaced his fat burner supplement with Steel Focused-AF. It is a mental support formula that contains caffeine. According to the company website, it aims to “heighten the senses, sharpen the mind and encourage focus and mental clarity.”

Workout

After taking his breakfast, Terrence Ruffin headed to the American Barbell Gym in Fairfield County, Ohio for an upper-body workout. It consisted of:

  • Converging chest press
  • Seated rows
  • Dumbbell lateral raises
  • Preacher curls
  • Triceps extensions
  • Triceps pushdowns
  • Pull-ups
  • Dips
  • Dumbbells biceps curls

Following the workout, Terrence Ruffin practiced posing and went on to have the next meal of the day.

Meal 3 – Post-workout meal

According to Terrence Ruffin, the next meal was the meal number three ‘if you don’t count the protein shake.’ Ruffin did not share the protein shake in the video.

However, the third and final Meal of the day was a simple combination of chicken and cucumber to conclude the day of eating.

It consisted of:

  • Chicken – 90 grams
  • Cucumber – 100 grams

Reducing the amount of food leading to the competition is difficult to cope with. The two-time Arnold Classic Physique champion Terrence Ruffin keeps his mind distracted with reading, working, and watching TV to keep the food off of his mind. However, he doesn’t think TV is much of a distraction.
