The inaugural Wellness International division crowned its winner on Saturday night. Isabelle Nunes impressed judges and took home first place at the 2022 Arnold Classic.
2021 Mr. Olympia introduced a Wellness International class at their last show. Five of the top six athletes who placed at 2021 Mr. Olympia will compete on the 2022 Arnold Classic stage and look to dominate. Inaugural shows always have a special type of excitement attached to them as more mystery surrounds who might place at the podium.
Angela Borges was eager to turn in a first-place performance, especially after such a successful 2021 season. After nailing first place at the 2021 IFBB Pittsburgh Pro, she competed in the Wellness division at the 2021 New York Pro where she took runner-up. Angela placed second at the 2021 Musclecontest Brazil Pro and 2021 Mr. Olympia. After coming so close to first place at Mr. Olympia Wellness, she was ready to take home her first bodybuilding title.
Sunny Andrews is another bodybuilder who quickly gathered momentum. After competing in a total of seven NPC bodybuilding shows last year, she’s well on her way to making effective changes to her physique.
Yarishna Ayala also competing in the 2022 Arnold Classic Wellness division, so it was a closely contested show. Ayala gathered steam quickly after winning the 2021 IFBB New York Pro. After placing fourth in the wellness class for 2021 Mr. Olympia, fans are excited to see such a skilled list of competitors on the same stage.
Isabelle Nunes took first place and secured the inaugural Arnold Classic Wellness International title. Angela Borges and Sunny Andrews both stood out, and judges were patient in rendering their final decision. Second place was awarded to Angela Borges, and Sunny Andrews walked away in third place. Towards the end of the show, it appeared Nunes and Borges were battling for the number one spot.
