The human body burns calories all the time, even in our sleep or while sitting and watching movies. But several factors affect how many calories are burned, such as the intensity of exercise, your height, and weight. Use our calculators to calculate the estimated calories your body burns during different exercises, sports, and other day-to-day common activities.
Burning calories and your heart rate
Caloric burn accelerates with increased exercise intensity, causing a rise in heart rate. However, sustaining intense exercise can be difficult. For optimal calorie burning, aim for a heart rate of about 65% of your maximum (approximately 220 minus your age). Learn more about the ideal heart rate during exercise.
Calculate your BMI (Body Mass Index)
BMI or the Quetelet index calculates body fat based on weight and height. It’s a standard metric to categorize individuals as underweight, healthy weight, or overweight. Determine your weight for a specific BMI using our BMI Calculator or Reverse BMI Calculator.
Find total daily energy expenditure
Your TDEE represents the total calories you burn daily. It factors in your basal metabolic rate and daily activities. Assess your daily caloric burn with our precise TDEE calculator.

Someday one of these websites is going to include calisthetics and rucking. Such a shame, two of the biggest things and no one wants to include them. In the meantime I HAVE to just do every single calisthetic movement singularly and add that up and do rucking as hiking with a daypack.
Thank you for the suggestion, Kristi. We’ll collaborate with our developers to incorporate calisthenics and rucking calculators in the near future.
Thank you for the consideration.
