The winner of the 2021 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships, Jesus Olivares, is continuing to lift some very heavy weight in training. In the latest addition to his Instagram profile, Olivares published a 412 kg (907 lbs) squat single from training. Even though his competition best is 427.5 kg (942.5 lbs), the spectacular speed of his latest squat is what makes it so impressive.

To aid him in the lift, Olivares used a lifting belt, knee sleeves and a pair of wrist wraps. He lifted the bar off the rack, slowly squatted down, and once he hit the required depth, explosively squatted back up.

Jesus Olivares Career And Achievements

Jesus Olivares is still in his early twenties, but has accumulated some great success already. He started doing powerlifting at a very young age, and decided to take a break from 2015-2019, and enjoy his teenage years. In 2019 Olivares won his first meet back, competing as a +120 kg Junior lifter.

Since then, Olivares has won every competition that he participated in. Most notably the 2021 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships, and the 2021 USAPL Raw Nationals. He competed in the +120 kg category in both competitions.

Jesus Olivares has accomplished a lot in his still-young career, including some massive lifts, and being crowned The World and National Champion. However, he still has a lot of potential to grow until he reaches his limit, and after seeing his progress in the training room, we’re looking forward to seeing how he appears the next time he competes
