Bodybuilding veteran Lee Labrada moved on from professional competition years ago but never fails to get a workout in. In a recent Instagram post, Labrada looked jacked while posing with his son Hunter, an IFBB Pro League Men’s Open competitor, during a family trip to Jordan.

Lee Labrada cemented his place as one of the most disciplined and consistent athletes in the mid-1980s and 90s. He secured the Mr. Universe title in 1985. While he did not win the coveted Sandow trophy, Labrada cemented his tenure with seven top-four finishes at the Mr. Olympia competitions in a row against the likes of eight-time champ Lee Haney, six-time winner Dorian Yates, and Rich Gaspari. He got inducted into the IFBB Hall of Fame in 2004.

Labrada maintains a strong voice in the sport. He offered tips on nutrition to optimize gains in Dec. 2021. He laid out the various foods to consume before training and post-workouts to ensure proper recovery and muscle growth.

Lee continues to train daily in his later years. In March 2022, Labrada boasted about his longevity with a comparison of his physique over the years from the age of 28 to 51. Then, he left fans impressed with an insane lower body training update where he showed off his toned quads last August.

Lee Labrada has also detailed the benefits of using a belt squat machine during an intense lower-body training session in Oct. 2022. He emphasized that the workout was great for the quads or glutes and appreciated it for not stressing the spine.

The 63-year-old opened up on keeping up with his stellar physique last November. He believes diet is a crucial part of being healthy and encouraged others to eat moderately. He took issue with the evolution of the Men’s Open division over the years as well. He disapproved of a perceived lack of quality in posing routines and pinned some of the blame on the judging criteria.
