It was a thrilling night in Lillie, France, on September 30 as competitors from the Men’s Open, Classic Physique, Men’s Physique, and Bikini divisions stepped onto the 2023 Sheru Classic France Pro stage in hopes of securing their qualification to the nearing Olympia contest.
The 2023 Mr. Olympia competition will take place in Orlando, Florida from November 2-5 inside the Orange County Convention Center. Thus far, it’s been an eventful bodybuilding season but a challenging one, mainly because there are fewer months to qualify and the point system has been taken off the table. All competitors who wish to perform at the 2023 Olympia must win a Pro show.
The deadline to qualify for this prestigious event ends on October 9. With less than two weeks to achieve their dream of stepping on the sport’s ultimate stage, athletes brought their best and most conditioned physiques this weekend.

Aiming for another win this season, Nathan De Asha traveled to France in his third contest in under a month. His dense muscularity and separated quads were standout features this weekend, though he faced a challenging lineup, especially from contender Theo Leguerrier. De Asha took second place two weeks ago at the 2023 Europa Pro Championships after falling short of Regan Grimes.
Leguerrier’s conditioning was on point tonight and he certainly pushed into title contention by the time prejudging wrapped up. Leguerrier also competed at the 2023 Europa Pro Championships and ended the show in fourth place. Following some intense comparisons, Nathan De Asha took home first place! Theo Leguerrier finished second and Tim Budesheim placed third.

On Saturday, Classic Physique contenders met on stage motivated to guarantee their entry to this year’s Olympia. The shape, aesthetics, and muscularity of Maxime Yedess impressed judges early. His stage presence also wowed fans who remembered him last at the Europa Pro Championships in 2021, where he placed seventh.
Opossite of Yedess was Alexander Westermeier. Westermeier was one to watch during prejudging and only seemed to get harder as the show progressed. Alexander was last seen in action at the 2023 New York Pro back in May, where he made the first call-out in third place. This time around, it was Maxime Yedess’ night; he was crowned with Classic Physique gold. Alexander Westermeier and German Pastor finished second and third.
Men’s Physique
Alessandro Cavagnola brought a conditioned physique to the stage with great shape and symmetry. His broad frame and capped shoulders always make him a dangerous threat and tonight was no different. Cavagnola recently took on his peers at the 2023 Europa Pro Championships won by Regan Grimes.
Emile Walker, on the other hand, used his shape and back poses to stand out from the rest. Emile Walker also competed recently, but he tested the waters in second at the 2023 Flex Weekend Pro in Milan, Italy won by Nathan De Asha. This time, gold belonged to Emile Walker. Alessandro Cavagnola and Lenny Massouf took second and third place.

Bikini
In the Bikini category, Vivienne Kahl commanded the contest during prejudging. Her flow, symmetry, and balance were critical to staying near the center of the stage. While she competed at the 2023 Europa Pro Championships a few weeks ago, she wasn’t able to place in the top 15.
Kristina Brunaeur was another favorite this weekend, whose consistency and discipline shouldn’t be overlooked. Her flare and aesthetics have also been essential to her long-standing success in the division. Brunauer was last seen in action in fifth place at the 2023 Europa Pro Championships, where she defeated Kahl. In the end, Kristina Brunauer pulled off the big win! Vivienne Kahl placed second and Alice Marchisio placed third.
