2022 CrossFit Quarterfinals Results: Tia-Clair Toomey & Justin Medeiros Victorious

The past year's Fittest Woman and Man On Earth® have won the 2022 CrossFit Quarterfinals.

The 2022 CrossFit individual Quarterfinals took place on March 24-27, in an online format. It consisted of 5 workouts and had over 27,000 athletes taking part. Only a selected few of each continent’s greatest athletes will go through to the 2022 CrossFit Semifinals. To no surprise, the winners of the 2022 CrossFit Quarterfinals are Tia-Clair Toomey and Justin Medeiros.

Tia-Clair, in particular, absolutely dominated this stage of the competition, having finished in the top 8 in each of the five workouts. 

2022 CrossFit Quarterfinals Results: Individual Divisions (Unofficial)

The end score is an accumulation of competitors’ placing throughout all 5 events. This means that the person with a smaller score places higher. We will update the article once the individual leaderboard is finalized. The Quarterfinals will conclude on April 24th, 2022.

2022 CrossFit Semifinals and Finals 

The 2022 CrossFit Semifinals will take place from May 20 to June 12, in 10 separate competitions across 6 continents. The athletes going through to the 2022 CrossFit Semifinals are the ones who were ranked the best in their Continental regions. The quotas for each continent are as follows: 

  • North America – Top 120 Women / Top 120 Men
  • Europe – Top 60 Women / Top 60 Men
  • Oceania – Top 30 Women / Top 30 Men
  • Asia – Top 30 Women / Top 30 Men
  • South America – Top 30 Women / Top 30 Men
  • Africa – Top 30 Women / Top 30 Men

From the Semifinals, only 40 athletes from both men’s and women’s divisions will get the chance to compete at the most coveted competition in the world, which is the 2022 CrossFit Games. The Games will take place from Aug. 3-7, 2022, in Madison, Wisconsin.

First Workout 

For time: 50 dumbbell walking lunges / 30 handstand push-ups / 40 front-rack walking lunges / 20 deficit handstand push-ups / 30 overhead walking lunges / 10 strict handstand push-ups

After placing 2nd overall in the 2022 CrossFit Open, Tia-Clair Toomey has managed to win the Quarterfinals. She is going hard and is definitely the heavy favorite to claim the 2022 Fittest Woman On Earth® title. If Tia-Clair does manage to win the 2022 CrossFit Games, she will become the athlete with the most titles in the sport’s history. On the other hand, Justin Medeiros is chasing his second Games win at just 23-years-old.
